Advent cantatas from his rivals Telemann and Graupner, a sonata by Fasch, Telemann\'s exquisite sixth Paris Quartet and one of the greatest trio sonatas of the baroque era – from Bach\'s Musical Offering – make compelling cases in support of all four of these composers.
